Pilots from the Port of Aveiro provided «inestimable assistance» in rescuing the ship “NAVIG8 Amazonite”
The pilots of Port of Aveiro proceeded to rescue the tanker ‘NAVIG8 Amazonite’, thus providing an ‘inestimable help’, he thanked Navex.
So let’s count what happened from the beginning: last Friday, January 22nd, at 06:40 hours, the tanker ‘NAVIG8 Amazonite’ reported to the Maritime Control Center of the Port of Aveiro that it had left the iron for malfunction on your main machine. The unfavorable weather conditions did not allow it, even at anchor, to maintain its location, approaching dangerously towards the entrance to the port of Aveiro.
«After activating the safety procedures, the technical piloting services of the Port of Aveiro in collaboration with the tugs and in articulation with the Captaincy, the rescue operation of the ship and crew was successfully carried out, with the ship being safely moored» , said, on the same day, the Port of Aveiro, through a statement, to which Revista Cargo had access.
